Homeland, we do not protect it … we do not deserve to live in it

There is a sentence has golden expressions always occur in my mind (Homeland, we do not protect it … we do not deserve to live in it‎). Once, a quick look at the Kurdish, clearly we will see the impact of this sentence. How can we demonstrate our love for the homeland without that we stand for? Is it just to say words and phrases, slogans or ‎ flags? I personally do not think it is enough to express the love of the homeland or the soil in which we live, and perhaps the reader shares with me the same feeling. (It is not enough for us to repeat the slogans; we should to ponder how important national and moral Secretariat entrusted to us)

Real love for the homeland is the defense and sacrifice for it, either blood, money or boys; in simpler terms (the dearest asset of human). Everyone lives on the soil of this homeland and breathes its fresh air,  then  his duty  is to defend this nation, whether military or civilian, or whoever he is. Our country became the purest one on earth, after the sons watered its soil the holiest what they have. Every inch of the homeland ‎ soil, there were  martyrs declared openly and without hesitation about their love for the homeland.

Some might ask how to defend the homeland and we do not hold any military status? I say to those, Yes everyone can defend the homeland, and every citizen is a conscript soldier and a watchful eye monitors all the attempts by the enemies of the homeland (the bad seed ), also we can defend by the good word and maintain the gains besides the honesty at work. Citizenship and defense of the homeland cannot be linked by military suit.

The defense of homeland is not through the words in media that some people do every day on TV or on different media, and when those sitting among the people and they talk, they pretend to people that they are keener than everyone on the home. In the end you find them first fleeing when they get the chance; they sell the homeland, the citizen and everything.

Do you agree with me that this behavior as a betrayal of nation and people?!

The defense of the homeland is the first full awareness that every one of the citizen should have it . The interests of the nation should be the first and foremost, before any narrow interest whatsoever. Narrow interests are many and various; it may be physical, partisan, political, economic or any other kind. All of these interests are the different types of the individuals self-interests . It does not live up to be a collective interest of all the homeland sons.

The second type of defending of it begins with the love of homeland sons to each other. That is what we’re missing to and the most we need to nowadays , which helps them pass the dilemmas they are going through together.

Patriotism is the instinct and its defense is imposed, because the defense of the homeland is the defense of human, his memory, his mind and his identity. The defense of the homeland is the defense of the people. All these things require a person to defend it and to submit dear and precious in order to preserve it.

Hence, the homeland is not negotiable in any way, nor must accept negotiated, because it is our memories and our identity, in addition it is the most beautiful parts of the land in our eyes.

When someone says that the mountain home and sing his love to it, he calls it night and day like a beloved, it is true, because this country is the source of tenderness, affection and love for him, those who say that the barren desert of a national, as well. If the home is the source of memories in humans, this home deserves to be defended with all the strength and effort, even if it cost him his life.

Here, I am reminded the word of a poet:

My country and if it oppressed me is dear, and my family is always dear whatever they do.
