PYD’s representative, National Alliance Emphasize Need for Cooperation at All Levels

 

On Thursday 1 August 2019, a delegation from the National Alliance Party (the Alliance for Justice and Democracy) visited the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in the Kurdistan region.

The delegation was attended by members of the Political Council of the Democratic Union Party, Suleiman Arab, and members of the Diplomatic Relations Committee. The visiting delegation consisted of the members of the Political Council Omid Khoshnaw, Palin Ezzat Mika, a member of the Relations Office, and Ms. Fala Saman.

The visit came at the request of the National Alliance with the aim of strengthening the brotherly Kurdish relations between the two parties and exchanging views on the latest developments in the political, social and security situation in Kurdistan and the region and also to learn more about the experience of Democratic Autonomous Administration and the gains achieved. In the near future in order to get acquainted with the experience of Autonomous Administration and the gains achieved, which are great gains for all the people of Kurdistan.

For his part, Sulaiman Arab, representative of the party, said that the current gains have been achieved due to a great and revolutionary struggle over the past eight years. These gains show the great role of the Kurdish policy in the region alongside other peoples and components because their experience depends on the democratic nation’s philosophy and on the basis of openness towards all components, contrary to the other experiments that rely on narrow national chauvinistic thought. “The experience of Democratic Autonomous Administration in northern and eastern Syria could offer a vision and experience that could be used in Iraq for the disputed areas between the Kurds and the central government,” he added.

The meeting also addressed many issues of common concern, especially the need to unite the Kurdish attitudes towards the developments in Kurdistan and the region, the most important of which are the Turkish threats and its attacks against the Kurdish will in both Rojava and Bashur Kurdistan and the position of the occupation of Afrin, and the establishment of an international tribunal to try all its Daesh elements.

The two parties stressed the need to continue holding such meetings and cooperation at all levels.
