A delegation from the Syriac Union Party visited the PYD center. The delegation was composed of the joint presidency of the party, Sinharib Barsoum and the members of the Executive Body. They were Nazira Koriya, Afram Isaac and Joseph Lehdo.
They were received by Shahuz Hassan, the party’s co-chair, and Zinb Saroukhan, head of the party’s public relations office and a member of Relations Office Bahjat Ali.
During the meeting which brought together the two parties on Friday, June 7, 2019, the two parties congratulated the Muslims in Syria and the world on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. Then they discussed the political situation and developments in the region in general.
The two parties also praised the role of the political parties and the democratic forces in northeastern Syria in preserving the gains and their role in bringing together the viewpoints and unifying them, especially the Kurdish parties.
For his part, Sinharib Barsoum, the co-chair of the Syriac Union Party, stressed that Turkey played a malicious role in the region and today it is fighting the Kurds and the democratic forces and practicing colonial regime in Afrin and in the other regions.
The two sides also praised the message sent by the leader Abdullah Ocalan to the public opinion, especially with regard to the item concerning the resolution of the Syrian crisis, which stipulates the need for a peaceful solution to resolve the regional crises, especially the internal crisis in Turkey and Syria.
The parties denounced the negative role played by the Coalition and the Kurdish National Council towards the Syrian crisis in general and their hostility to Democratic Autonomous Administration in particular. The parties pointed out that these forces do not serve the Syrian people as much as they serve the agendas of regimes hostile to the Syrian people and the democratic political solution in Syria and they did not show their willingness to engage with the forces of the real revolution, which includes all the social and political components.
The two sides discussed many political issues related to dialogue and political solution and the participation of the Syrian Democratic Council(MSD) in the international dialogues related to resolving the crisis.
The two parties noted the need for the participation of all political parties and actors in the Syrian-Syrian dialogue and stressed the need to work at all levels to develop and strengthen the Democratic Autonomous Administration in order to serve the interests of the people in north-east Syria and the general Syrian people.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two parties stressed the importance of such meetings among the political circles in general, because of their importance in strengthening the relations and bringing the views closer.
