Under the slogan “Protect your Land and your Dignity Against ISIS and the Occupation”, the Union of Young Women in Gire Spi organized a demonstration in support of Kongra Star campaign to denounce Turkish threats to enter northern and eastern Syria.
The demonstration started from al-Qafes roundabout heading towards al-Baladiya roundabout in the center of the city. Hundreds of young women and members of Gire Spi Military Council and representatives of Kongra Star and civil institutions in the canton participated in the demonstration. At the end of the demonstration, the participants chanted slogans saluting women’s resistance and denouncing the Turkish occupation.
