European Court of Human Rights fined Turkey for violating Kurdish rights

The European Court of Human Rights issued a decision to fine Turkey, in compensation for its detention of Kurdish politicians and intellectuals who demanded their cultural rights.

The European Court of Human Rights imposed a fine on Turkey with more than 8500 euros in compensation in two separate cases related to the detention of a group of Kurds, where it ruled in favor of the plaintiffs in two incidents in eastern Turkey, where the areas with a Kurdish majority for more than a decade.
The court stated that Turkey violated the right to freedom of assembly and freedom for  Hakim Aydin, who was arrested in 2008 after participating in a protest calling for the government to legalize the teaching of the Kurdish language, also said the European Court that Turkey had violated the right to freedom of assembly for Kamil Cetin, who was sentenced He was also imprisoned after participating in the Nowruz celebrations in the eastern province of Mosh in 2007, according to the European Court of Human Rights.
