Aldar Khalil: The press achieves revolutions, builds societies

On the 121st  anniversary of the Kurdish Press Day, the member of the Executive Body of the Democratic Society Movement(TEV-DEM), Aldar Khalil told PYDROJAVA site that journalists must realize that their work is of great importance and that the press builds societies, changes minds and achieves revolutions.

Khalil called on Kurdish media professionals to work with all their capabilities to develop the revolution of freedom and democracy for the liberation of their people and for the liberation of Kurdistan.

He pointed out that the Kurdish media should not restrict their activity in a narrow range. He stressed the importance of becoming a media aspiring to freedom, spreading free thought, addressing the tragedies of the people, providing solutions and contributing to the development of the spirit of freedom and becoming part of the people-led revolution.

Aldar concluded, “today is a very meaningful and pivotal day and I congratulate all Kurdish journalists on this occasion, in the hope that the media professionals become the vanguard of the revolution of freedom and democracy.”

The Kurdish Press Day dates back to the first Kurdish political newspaper called” Kurdistan” published in Cairo in 1898.
