The Kurdish Progressive Democrat congratulates the convening of our eighth conference, and stresses the need for Kurdish unity
On Monday (2 March 2020), the Co-chairs of our PYD party, Aisha Hasso and Anwar Muslim, received the Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party, which congratulated the eighth party congress and affirmed the closer bilateral relations between the two parties and joint work to enhance their national role in facing the dangers lurking in the Kurdish people.
The Co-chairs of our PYD party, Aisha Hasso and Anwar Muslim, and Executive Board member Abdul Karim Sarukhan received Messrs. Ahmed Barakat and Ahmed Suleiman, members of the Political Bureau of the Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party and Mr. Rifai Saleh, member of the party’s central committee, in the general center of the Democratic Union PYD in the city of Qamishlo.
On behalf of the Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party, Dr. Ahmed Barakat congratulated our Democratic Union Party (PYD) on the convening of its eighth conference in light of the serious threats that the region is undergoing, “which calls for uniting the Kurds, especially after the Turkish occupation of Afrin, Sri Kanye, Gari Sibei and Kobani, and the complex file of Idlib, which casts its developments on the situation in the Syrian north like he said.
Dr. Barakat stressed that “the stage needs practical steps, and requires political parties in Rojava to work together, and not to wait for long to achieve Kurdish national unity.” He pointed to the need for closer bilateral relations between the two parties and joint action in order to enhance their national role in facing the risks to the people Kurdish.
Dr. Barakat confirmed their readiness for the initiative launched by the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces,( SDF) Mazlum Abdi, to unify the Kurdish ranks.
In turn, Aisha Hasso, the joint head of our party, stressed the need to unify the Kurdish voice and establish a political reference that represents the Kurds in international forums and in the future of Syria, especially after the annihilation that the Kurdish people are exposed to.
As for the joint head of our party, Anwar Muslim, he praised the initiative launched by Mazloum Abdi, describing it as positive, and stressed the need to carry out all the responsibilities and duties of political parties for the rights of our people. He showed their readiness as a party in order to do everything in their power.
