Erdogan is losing a jihadist reservoir in northwestern Syria

Media reported today, Monday, that 4 Turkish soldiers were killed and 9 others wounded in a Russian bombing of Idlib, and added that the Turkish army in Idlib responded to the attack by the Syrian army on armed jihadi groups linked to Turkey, according to what the Turkish Defense Ministry announced earlier.

According to what the ministry confirmed, the Syrian regime forces carried out the bombing despite notifying the Turkish forces in advance, as websites published videos of the Russian air force bombing a group of military vehicles near a Turkish observation post in Idlib.

For its part, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported the entry of new Turkish military frames into Syrian territory through the “Kafrlossin” border crossing, heading to Idlib and northwest of Aleppo.

For his part, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced during an urgent press conference that his country has responded appropriately, to what he called an attack on a Turkish control point, Erdogan stressed that: “Turkey will continue to respond to any attack on its forces in Idlib.” He continued: “We will not stand idly by towards the attack by the Syrian regime forces on our soldiers in Idlib.”

And Russian sites have refuted what the Turkish president announced, at a time he confirmed on the Turkish side that he had canceled the joint patrol with Russian forces in eastern Kobani.

On the other hand, other sources said that Russia rejected the control of the Turkish desire to control Kobani, and appointed Issa, and this exploded the conflict between the two parties in Idlib and Aleppo.

It is noteworthy that the regime forces penetrated, on Sunday, in the southeastern countryside of Idlib, close to the strategic city of Saraqib, where they reached the towns of “Gobas” and “San” southwest of Saraqib, after intense bombing of both Saraqib and its countryside, and Sarmin, And other places in Idlib’s eastern and southeastern countryside, in conjunction with intense Russian shelling on separate areas in the northwest of the country.

In turn, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on Sunday that the Turkish forces announced the Aleppo-Lattakia road known as (M4) military zone, which is a sign of a Turkish escalation with Russia.
