Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi made the remarks at a news conference on the sidelines of a three-way summit with Cyprus and Greece.
Al-Sisi stressed that Egypt refuses to seize and annex part of Syrian territory.
The Egyptian President pointed out that the tripartite summit agreed on the need to find political solutions to the crises in the region, pointing out that unilateral practices are detrimental to the interests of the countries of the Eastern Mediterranean, in reference to Turkey’s unilateral practices and exploration in Cyprus.
The Eastern Mediterranean countries, the European Union as well as the United States oppose Turkey’s unilateral exploration in the Eastern Mediterranean and have expressed their support for Greece and the Republic of Cyprus.
