Afrin delegation meets representatives of German organizations and mayor of Oldenburg

On Thursday, April 18, the Afrin delegation, consisting of the co-chair of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) Aisha Hassou, member of the Coordination Committee of Displaced Persons Camps in al-Shahba Idris Waqas, and the official of the Women’s Organization in Afrin, Moushira Malla Rashid, and the Representative of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and Northeast Syria in Germany Ibrahim Murad, a group of representatives of civil society organizations, politicians, German journalists and the Mayor of Oldenburg of Germany, at a meeting in Oldenburg to meet with the visiting delegation of Europe.

The forum was attended by the German mayor of Oldenburg, Christina Volf, Ulrich Hartge, who is the official of the Refugee Museum Association, Ulrika Hovman of the Afghalan Church, representative of German leftist Hannig Adler and Jasmine Oldenburg of the German Federation of Trade Unions.

They discussed the political situation in the north of Syria, especially the occupied Afrin by the Turkish army and its mercenaries, and how the violations committed by the occupying forces against our people in Afrin, also focused on the situation of our displaced people in the camps and not receiving any assistance from international and humanitarian organizations, not to mention the psychological and living difficulties they are experiencing.

There was also a remarkable reaction from the German side, who expressed their solidarity with the people of Afrin and their willingness to support Afrin.
