Condemnation statement

Since the Turkish fascism coming to power, it has been exercising reckless policies internally and regionally, and its goal is to suppress every voice or movement opposing its policies at home and abroad, just as it laid out the scheme of “Kurdish undermining” at home and abroad, and for this reason, it has not stopped since five years waging wars and invasions outside its borders, as it exercises repression and abuse, even the killing of opponents at home, and it is ruled by the dictatorship of the one person who controls all joints of the executive, legislative, and even judicial branches.”

The statement pointed to the latest practices of the Justice and Development Party and added: “The last thing this dictatorship did is to drop the membership of parliament from three elected members, and arrest them for flimsy reasons that fall within the framework of offering their opinions within the parliament, which should be a platform for freedom. The parliamentarian Leyla Koven was in prison and went on hunger strike for 200 days until the fascists were forced to release her, as did Musa Faris Oglu and Anis Barbar Oglu, as the fascism had taken over most of the elected municipalities, and appointed government delegates over them.”

The General Council of the Democratic Union Party condemned these unacceptable behaviors, saying that they “aim to silence the Kurdish people inside Turkey, and then exterminate them.” It confirmed that the invasion and occupation of Afrin , Girê Spî and Serêkaniyê by the Turkish state does not adhere to any humanitarian or ethical standards or international laws.

The Council called on the forces defending freedom and democracy to take a firm stand against these practices that threaten the stability of the entire region.
